Selestium Astrology is a new open-source program that has been built for constellational sidereal astrology, yet also supports tropical and sidereal approaches. The software is designed to work cross-platform (Windows, MacOS, and Linux) and is supportive of assistive technologies.
The program currently features all of the basic calculations that you would expect in a professional-level astrology program, with the additional feature of fully supporting constellational sidereal astrology. A full list of features can be found on the Features page. Additional features will be added as the program develops (and the list of the future features can be found at the end of the Features page). As the development of Selestium Astrology began only in September 2025, we are very pleased with how much is available already!

Selestium Astrology has two editions. The first, the “Community Edition” (CE) is the edition that you get if you build it from source. It has certain limitations built-in (watermarking, inability to have your own “compliments of” section) and does not entitle you to support. The “Supporter Edition” (SE) removes those limitations and grants you the right to support. You can see the full list of differences in capabilities in the capabilities matrix.
The license you are purchasing here is a license to the “Supporter Edition”.
If you are considering this software versus a web-based program or subscription, I’d like to ask you to think about:
- How much you may pay for the web-based system over the number of years you will be using it? And compare that to how much you might pay for a single license of Selestium Astrology
- What happens if the website provider is, through any number of reasons, unable to continue providing access to their software? What happens then?
- Do you want your charts–your data, your client notes, your private business information–saved on some other computer?
